Welcome to Seren's Wish

Our mission comes from a then 7 year old girl called Seren who wanted to make sure that every child had a present to open on Christmas Day.

We have already provided over 750 sacks of gifts to children as part of our annual appeal.

Serens Wish provides help and support to the families and children of Bishops Cleeve, Tewkesbury and beyond.
From everyday essentials to our annual toy appeal we are helping to make the lives of our community better one day at a time.

Serens Wish is a registered charity and we rely on fundraising, donations and grants to deliver this vital work.

If you would like to know more about how you can get involved please get in touch.

What we do

HAF - Holiday Activities & Food

Serens Wish provides holiday clubs for children aged 8 years plus and for children with additional needs.

These schemes run during the school holidays and are funded by Gloucestershire County Council.

We ran our first session in the summer of 2023 and had over 100 children attend across 5 weeks.

We are currently working with the local authority on future provision so watch this space.

Holiday Clubs are back, for all children aged 8yrs plus.

Serens Wish Christmas Gift Appeal

Where it all began, with Seren (pictured) watching a TV show on Boxing Day and offering to give up her presents to children who through no fault of their own did not get a visit from Santa.

Each year in late September we reach out to schools, social workers and other third sector organisations and ask them to let us know about children and families that might need our help.

We then co-ordinate the creation of each child's wish list and then we get them a sack load of gifts for Christmas.

Making sure that everyone has the chance to enjoy the magic of Christmas.

Community Support

All year round we collect donations for our Christmas appeal, as well as providing

Everyday Essentials Boxes

Help with other charities

Reducing Social Isolation

And lots more we always need volunteers and donors so please get in touch if you want to know more.

Interview in the local paper

Recently we appeared in the local media as one of our supporters AVM Storage helped us to solve a challenge we faced.

Also we have a link to a BBC Radio Gloucestershire interview explaining our work

A powerful network

With over 1000 active members, on our social media channels the charity forms a strong and reliable network. This allows us to advocate in the local community and work directly with the children and teens we serve. We are well connected with local businesses who support us throughout the year in various ways.
